RB750Gr3 - port disable not work after reboot

Hello,

Recently I bought a new RB750Gr3 (ROS 6.38.1) and a have little issue. When I disable interface (LED goes off), and then I reboot routerboard, LED starts blinking again (RouterOS indicates interface as disabled, connected device is unreacheble).

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Connect active device to port
  2. Disable interface (led goes off)
  3. Reboot (System/Reboot)
  4. After full boot led starts blinking
  5. RouterOS still indicates interface as disabled bud LED is blinking on both sides (RB and device)

I tried netinstall, upgrade to ROS 6.39RC and also downgrade to 6.37.4 but it did not help.

Has anyone register same behavior or is my routerboard defective?

The behaviour you’re describing sounds like a bug and as it’s a very simple scenario, try reporting it to Mikrotik, however…which behaviour are you expecting?

  • Disable interface, reboot, interface is enabled
  • Disable interface, reboot, interface is disabled [and lights stay off]

I expect second behavior after full boot of ROS and load configuration, so “Disable interface, reboot, interface is disabled [and lights stay off]”. At least that’s how every routerboard that I ever had behaved.
