RB750Gv3 Dropping Connections

I have a 5 month old hEX that appears to be randomly dropping connections. I can sit here and watch as the connection on this workstation behaves as if I unplugged the cable. Moments later the connection is active again. I completed a hard reset with the default configuration and the problem still persists.

Log text follows:
Jan/17/2018 01:53:55 memory interface,info ether2 link down
Jan/17/2018 01:54:06 memory interface,info ether2 link up (speed 1G, full duplex)

The log is full of these for interfaces ether2 and ether5. Those are the two ports I use.

Is there anything I can do to resolve this problem? Should I return for replacement?

Any and all assistance is appreciated!

Have you checked this behaviour with other devices and/or other cables? How is the Hex powered? What firmware version or you running?

RouterOS 6.41
Included AC adapter powered

It’s also dropping connection to my Loco M2 on ether5.

Seriously considering downgrading, because this all seems to have started around the time I updated to 6.41.

Edit:
Firmware was 3.4 and I updated it to 6.41. Let’s see if that resolved the problem.

You really need to test with other cables.

If possible, you should test other ports as well.

5 years seems past a reasonable warranty period to me, especially when you can get a new one for far less than $100. The RB750Gr3 is pretty nice.

wow man…

5 MONTHS old.

I think the firmware update may have resolved this problem. I will keep an eye on the log to see if it persists.

The firmware update fixed it. I just finished streaming for 2.5 hours without a single problem.

Thanks for the assistance!

Yeah I don’t know how I got 5 years.

I don’t know what a RB750Gv3 is so I assumed it was old. I have only been using these devices for about 3 years now.
