RB750UP and RB600?

I’ve got an RB600 with two R52H cards that I need to be able to remotely power cycle.

Can the RB750UP handle an RB600 with two cards? It is around a 200ft ethernet run.

The RB600 is an 802.3af (48 volt) PoE device. The RB750UP is a 24V passive PoE device… You cannot power a RB600 with a RB750UP.
Don’t you have access to the CLI/winbox of the RB600?

rb600 - input poe voltage 36-56V

rb750UP have only 24V POE out

Hi!

I might work, but your cable is long and you have 2 hightpower cards total of 11W ≈ 0,5A on 24V

The powerjack accepts accepts 10-56V

If you use an POE-extractor and plug into the powerjack

I have done this with success, but shorter cable

rb600 = 9W

  • 2x R52H = 4-5,2W

totaly with cards 13-14,2W it is on 24V = 0,59A

RB750up have 1A per port. It can mayby works  Problem can be lengs of cable.

upgrade firmware on rb750up to version 2.0

Good luck

Thanks guys.

Yes, the RB600 can take 10-56V, currently running through the jack on 24v since lightning damaged POE port. Still powers on throughy it, but no data.

I was hoping to read that someone else had already done this. Looks like my replacement AP will be here soon enough.
