RB750UP with 3G USB modem

Hi, im trying to use a 3g USB modem on the USB port of a RB750UP but is not working. i get an IP from the USB modem on the RB 750 but when i try to ping to any address on internet the RB 750 loses the IP so i have no internet connection.

Send modem make and model to support@mikrotik.com to see if they can add support for that modem.

jandafields, thanks for your answer.
But is there any configuration that i have to consider when connecting the 3G USB modem?

I don’t know, because that modem is not listed on the “supported hardware” page… so there is no way to know if it requires anything special without just playing around with it.

But when I insert USB modem in USB connector (I can see the modem on /system resources usb) but I have no new port in /system ports, does this mean my USB modem is not supported?
Thanks.

Probably. You should email support with supout.

But have I to see a new PORT regardless the usb modem is supported… or only with supported USB (3G) modems?
The same regardless the routerboard model?
I mean, on RB751G-2HnD could I see the new port (full USB functions supported), but not in RB411GL?

In fact I’m trying to check if my ONDA USB UMTS modem is supported on my RB411GL board…

But have I to see a new PORT regardless the usb modem is supported

From my experience, if modem is unsupported is visible on ‘/system resources usb’,
but no new port in ‘/system ports’.

HTH,
