I am begginer with Mikrotik and I hope I will find answer here from experienced users.
I need to solve this situation:
I have two RB751G-2HnD (version with two integrated antennas).
One MK is in the first house. It has internet connection in Eth1 port.
This internet access is distributed through bridge to all other ports and wifi interface.
Wifi signal is good for whole house. It is OK, BUT …
… there is a second house a few meters from the first house with very thick walls.
I need here the internet connection too, but signal is available only at the window in the first floor.
So I need to catch signal in this window in the second house and distribute it further in the second house (at least in whole room).
And my idea is to place second Mikrotik in this window and:
- use first antenna as a client (for catching signal from Mikrotik placed in the first house)
- use second antenna as an access point (to distribute wireless internet access in the second house)
But I can figure out how to configure it. I tried some WDS settings, but with no luck.
I hope it is understandable and I will be glad if someone will help me.
And if this solution is impossible, please suggest me another.
But I don’t want to spend a lot fo money here, because it is only vacation place (the second MK is normally at my home and I will bring it here for vacation only).
