I have RB751G-2HnD.
After I do reset and the router is on it works fine, I’m able to access via 192.168.88.1.
I configure dhcp and change ip to 192.168.1.2. But once I do restart, no matter how, /system restart or just plug, I’m not able to access it and it’s not providing leased dhcp ip. I tried to set static ip to pc and still not able to access. And the same problem if I do just restart of reset router.
The only way to make it accessible is to reset.
I installed the latest firmwre from mikrotik.com. I have 6.0
Please suggest how to fix it?
Not winbox with an IP address. I’m talking SPECIFICALLY “MAC”-winbox.
Did you try that? You have to make sure it is working when the router is working, as some computers aren’t setup properly to allow mac-winbox to work at all.
I understand you.
I start MikroTik Winbox Loader v2.2.18 and trying to access to MAC D4:CA:6D:20:D9:98. Not able to access.
Click the button to search for router and not able to find any mikrotik in my network. This happens after reboot. Before reboot I was able to access to above MAC address.
I’ve had this before, You can solve this by doing a netinstall.
Run Netinstall and setup it up correctly.
Hold down the reset but while powering on the router.
Wait for the user LED to begin flashing, then stop. Release the reset button.
It should appear in the netinstall window.
Download a new install package.
Wait for the status to go READY
and in a little while you should be able to discover it with Winbox.
Pretty sure it is 1-yr warranty. If you did not purchase from authorized reseller, I think you have to pay shipping to/from Latvia… so that could be $$$ depending on where you are.
I had a similar issue and I resolve that whit netinstall, one tip, netinstall worked for me only under winxp, in win 7 and win 8 netinstall not recognise my rb751.
