RB751G-2nhd - Bricked?

Hello,

I was upgrading my RB751G-2nHD using the netboot it was succesfully uploading the netboot image to the device.

About 1/2 way through eset / windows decided to re-enable the firewall on the PC which terminated the connection to the RB.

The unit now does boot as it doesnt have the full application and does not seem to identify itself for a netboot any more either.

Is there anything I can do to recover this unit?

Thanks very much

Ian

did you try to hold the button before powering, then apply the power, and wait until the LED goes off, then release button. at this moment, try netinstall again.

Thank you, I will try this and let you know how I get on.

I have had RB751’s that were “bricked” or inaccessible for various reasons and couldn’t netinstall, all resolved with using the power adapter from an SXT. Whether or not that is a supported method or not I do not know. I was hoping to link the thread I got that idea from before but not seeing it at the moment.

Edit: here it is:

Thank you for your help, this has been fixed using the reset button during power on.

Thanks again

Ian
