RB751u-2Hnd - change WAN port

Hello,
is it possible to change wan port on RB751u-2Hnd. I need to test if wan port is correctly working. So I decided to change wan port to Eth5 which is now free. But Eth5 is member of bult-in switch. I understand that I have to set master port to none, but I’m not sure if it is enough.
Thank you.

Yes, to remove it from switch that is enough.

a WAN port can be any port, it is just the port you have plugged your ISP cable into, and have put a route to send traffic through. There is no other difference between LAN and WAN, only what address you put there, what route you have and which cable you plug there.

I am not sure but is not there dedicated line to cpu for ether1 when not used in switch while all other interfaces use the second common line to cpu? If yes, it should be taken into account while deciding what interface should be wan, am I right?
By the way there could be much more wans than ethernet interfaces and of course all five ethers could act as wan simultaneously…
