RB751U-2HnD do not allow wifi for laptops, why?

Hi

I am very new to networking, but I bought two Mikrotik routers, RB750GL & RB751U-2HnD. A friend of mine had set them up for me to begin with. I thought I could start learning to use them, so far I have two laptop that weren’t able to connect to the wireless router. Even after updated their drivers and Windows update they still unable to access the RB751. However, these laptops will work on the regular wireless routers. Then would that means the setting in my wireless router was too high or something? Can someone please help me out?

Does the laptop see the “mikrotik” device when scanning for wireless access points?

Check with your friend as to which channel the WiFi was configured for and make sure that your laptops should be expected to see that channel. e.g. Laptops with USA settings often do not see the highest frequency 2.4 GHz channels used in EU.
