RB751U-2HnD getting 10 meg speedtest on a 22 meg conection

So I had a router die and temporarily put a RB751U-2HnD there.

If I plug directly into the cable modem, I get 22 meg down at speedtest.com.

If I plug the modem into the router and wire my laptop to the router, I get about 10 meg at speedtest.net. I’ve tried different cables. When testing, I’m the only thing plugged into router.

All I’ve done is to setup wireless and nobody is connected to wireless.

Looking at the throughput tests at this router’s info page, I expected this router to be able to handle 22meg–at least temporarily. Am I incorrect in my thinking? Do I need to configure something to get the best speed out of this thing?

You should easily get 22mbps with that router. Maybe you have some queues setup or other rules doing something?

Original Poster, when the speedtest is occurring, what is your CPU usage in %?
