I have a problem with RB751U-2HnD & ROS 6.0rc14 trying to use a Vodafone K4510-Z 3G USB Modem. Support has been added to ROS 6.0rc14 for the K4510-Z (by Uldis.)
I do the following;
[admin@MikroTik] > /system resource usb print detail
0 device=“1:1” vendor=“Linux 3.3.5 ehci_hcd” name=“RB400 EHCI” serial-number=“rb400_usb” vendor-id=“0x1d6b” device-id=“0x0002” speed=“480 Mbps” ports=1
usb-version=“2.00”
1 device=“1:3” vendor=“Vodafone (ZTE)” name=“K4510-Z” serial-number=“C58FD61CFCE9D78BCA5108659FDE979504DB1983” vendor-id=“0x19d2” device-id=“0x1171”
speed=“480 Mbps” ports=0 usb-version=“2.00”
The 3G USB Modem is avavailable on usb3.
When I try add a PPP Client (ppp-out1) the ‘New Interface > General > Port:’ menu item is highlighted blue and the only available drop down item is shown as ‘unknown’, I cannot select usb3 (which is what I think it should be.)
I have tested 3G modem in a PC and it works fine.
Thanks for any help/advice,
Rgds Nic
