Can a USB wifi client be used as a client to the 751u when connected to the USB port.
My Ubuiquiti WifiStation is recognized by the port but I have not been able to find information on setting up an interface for the device or if it is possible to use the USB port for this.

As far as I know the USB is for USB HD’s to create an SMB or file server. Do you have more than 1 Wifi adapter listed?

I know the usb port on the 751 will support some usb GPS’s and a large variety of cellular broadband modems. I was hoping that someone knows of a way to use a USB wifi client.
When you ask if I have more than 1 wifi adapter listed, do you mean listed in the mikrotik supported hardware list? I do have an ALFA AWUS036NHA which is recognized by the 751 also.
No I mean “interface print” should show a second wlan adapter:

If so set the mode to station and match the channel of your ubiquiti ap and then set the security profile to match as well and it should get connected.
Report back if you’re getting an second Wifi adapter in the interface list because I’d like to do what you’re doing also.
Initially I didn’t have a new interface show up when I plugged in the WifiStation but today when I was configuring a new 751 I decided to try the Alfa and WLAN2 showed up in the interface list. The router had ros 5.24 on it and I’ve been upgrading them to 6.x. I was unsuccessful in getting everything configured correctly but I’m far from an expert at with rOS.
I reset to the default configuration upgraded the router to 6.6 and now a second WLAN interface does not show up. When I get time I’ll mess some more with it.
