RB800 3X3 X 4

Hi Nomis

Question1
below your link data is only installed one 3X3 minipci card at RB800.
But CPU Load is 51% during Speed test.

If install 4 minipci card(3X3), CPU load will be very high.
then I think throughput will be quite low.
I worry two things

  1. High CPU Load may cause of low throughput
  2. 3X3 X 4unit may cause RF interference and it occur low throughput.
did you have test or data about these related test?

My expecting usage is 1:1 or 1:1:1 or 1:2:1 like below picute.

Question2
Commonly TCP throughput is more higher then UDP. But linked test result is UDP is more high.
I don't know why..

Question3
Which company's minipci card used? PCI express? or MINIPCI?
Can you recommand 3X3 minipci card for outdoor?

what cards? what dishes? what distance!

You will not find 3x3 cards for MiniPCI. I have tested three simultaneous 3x3 cards with Atom motherborad. Problem is with interferences on pigtails betewan cards, remeber that with this configuration there is 9 pigtails in the box (with low rf power it worked good). On RB800 you can put only one 3x3 card (there is only 1 MiniPCIeX slot)

How you get such results (TCP test better than UDP???)

I have tested several AR9380/90 cards i.ex: HP, Sparklan, Tp-Link. As I said before there is no real 3x3 card for MiniPCI. I can recommend the TL-WDN4800 cards. Here is a small sample:
