RB800S 2 SFP module...

Hi Mikrotik…

Since there is RB2011LS, and seem mikrotik know well on the SFP design…
can be have the RB800 upgrade version like RB800S come with the single or dual SFP slot…

This will be the great for us as fiber always having better isolation and protection from the lightning when it’s under outdoor environment…

Hello angboontiong,

is there a specific or special reason, that you ask for a modification of the RB800?
I mean something regarding the tech specs like cpu, ram size and so on.
Or would another RB2011 model with GB LAN, SFP and WLAN do also the job for you?
I ask this because there are many different RB2011 models out, to compare them there is also a list:

And in the list I found a RB2011 model that matches nearly to the RB800, from the functions I mean.
It is named RB2011US-2HnD-IN and owns all the features, to be a future champion model under the RB models, ok this
is only my opinion, but if you want to have a greater sized image for building you up own mind, please have a look:

the RB2011 series is build in wireless card and there is ..

1. No mini pci for us to use the wireless card we want…
2. that’s only the 2.4Ghz wireless card only…
3. It’s too big and no enclosure for the outdoor environment…

To process 100Mbps full duplex traffic, RB800 so far is the best unit but it’s without the SFP module…

actually the RB2011 is much smaller than RB800. I agree with the rest of complaints, but as the RB2011 is our first SFP product, maybe we will have a better suited product for your needs in future.
