Is it possible to have enabled only chain 0?
We run Rb911 with single-polarization antennas (only chain0). Default configuration from factory = enabled chain0 + chain1
Chain1 without antena => There is destruction of Routerboard ![]()

we canât differentiate RB911 which goes into SEXTANT and which doesnât. We could offer second chain checkbox in Quickset maybe. We have to think about this.
It would be possible to have two versions of the factory setup?
Sextant has a built-rb911 = chain0 chain1 enabled.
But separately sold rb911 (packed in electrostatic bag).
Only chain0 enabled
Thanks
from hardware point of view, there is no difference. it is the same device. after it has been already installed and configured, it is put into a SEXTANT case.
In this case - only solution for us isâŚ
Connect to chain0 clients single-polarised antena.
To chain1 connect pigtail with 5dbi antena (http://www.signalboosters.eu/bearextender/image/cache/data/BearExtender_antenna_compare-228x228.jpg)
Then log with winbox into routerboard and disable chain1
On routerboard stickers is no warning so both chains are enabled. There is only: DO NOT POWER WITHOUT ANTENNA CONNECTED.
It sounds like one antenna. Not two.
Please add warning BOTH CHAINS ARE ENABLED from factory
at startup all new RouterBOARDâs undergo âflashfigâ configuration. where you can load it with the configuration you want it to have, or basic template, where wireless interface is either disabled or configured to your specification.
