RB911G-5HPacD Antennas

Hello,

I was looking to buy RB911G-5HPacD but couldn’t find them in Thailand.
The only model which is available and similar is the RB911G-5HPacD-NB.

So I bought these and removed the antennas connectors cause my goal is to installed them in a RF element case such as : http://www.rfelements.com/en/products/enclosures/stationbox-inspot/
But the antennas connectors are the RP-SMA connectors and they can’t fit properly when soldered like they are on the board.
So with a rework station, I’ve removed them and plan to put wires to install them properly on the case.
I was worrying about the noise it would create… anybody has advices about which cable I should use?

Also, I’ve checked each pin of the connector on the board with a multimeter and it looks like they are all connected.
Check this picture, that’s the one on the right : http://www.wellshow.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/rp-sma-connector-pcb.jpg
Each of the 5 pins are linked together… that sounds weird doesn’t it?
I thought that they fourth on the side would be linked to ground but not to the pin in the center but it is as well…

As anybody tried such mod and can confirmed that?
Thank you.

Please check the pictures.
I have removed the connector and plan to solder it again with wires so that I can install it properly in the RF element case.

Do I need special wires to do so?
Also, like I’ve explained previously, each 5 pins of the connectors, on the board, seems on the same track. Is that Ok?

Thanks!
