RB911G-5HPnD Rx Modulation issue

I am having issues with the RB911G-5HPnD boards when configured as a wireless bridge. Every time I run a bandwidth test I am not seeing the speeds I have come to expect from RB711’s and x86 platforms with R52nM and using the exact same scripts/config setup. No matter what I do I can never achieve 300mb Tx/Rx rates.

I believe this is an issue affecting the receiver side of the wireless card not the transmit for the following reasons:
When I bandwidth test 2 x RB911G’s as a bridge the highest modulation rate achieved is 240mb Tx & Rx
If I bandwidth test from a RB911G to a different known good x86 platform with an R52nM using the exact same configuration script I always get an instant 300mb Tx modulation rate but still only 240mb Rx.

I then tried to force the data rate manually by selecting only MCS15 to force 300mb modulation. This had the desired affect on the modulation forcing it to 300 but my throughput on the bandwidth test totally fell apart giving me 40-50mb full duplex if I was lucky!!

I wanted to test a RB911G against the old faithful RB711G but don’t have any to hand and sadly as its now discontinued :frowning:

I am at a real loss at the moment and out of ideas. I have 4 x RB911G boards and they are all doing exactly the same thing
HELP :frowning:

Make sure you doing psuedo bridge in the wireless settings.

Hi Jandafields

Thanks for the reply. Why psuedobridge?
I have been using a “bridge” & “station bridge” config for long time now with no issues.
Have also managed to get hold of a pair of 711’s and they run perfectly with exact same config.
I am still convinced this is an Rx issue but just a pain all 4 911G’s are suffering exact same issue

Turned out all 4 of the 911’s we had were actually faulty. Problem solved
