RB922 shows no wireless

Hi,

did anyone see something like this:

00:00:11 system,info router rebooted
00:00:19 interface,info ether1 link up (speed 1G, full duplex)
00:00:24 system,info,account user admin logged in from 00:1C:42:AD:75:7E via winbox
00:00:59 script,warning DefConf: Unable to find wireless interface(s)

I tryed Netinstall much times with different ROS Versions, but the Wireless Interface
did not come back!

You can uninstall and them install only wireless package of RouterOS

Wireless card could also be faulty…

@gustavo

If tried this without any change

@savage

It seems like, but i have never seen this with the integrated wireless Interface on an routerboard

Seen it with SXT’s before, but not a 922. It’s not impossible however.

Make a supout, and send it to MT to check?

Try to manually install the latest packages.

ROS on newer 922 boards is not able to detect wireless. Mikrotik created a special NPK package to fix it (perhaps to set the chipset to known state ?). New ROses will conta8in the fix too.
All the boards with the problem I have seen yet have serial number starting with 7F240 …

Here is the Fix package: https://www.mikrotik.com/download/share/rb_wifi_fix_6_35_mips.dpk
Simply upload it and reboot, just like with any RouterOS package.
The fix will also be included in the next RouterOS updates. I am very sorry for the inconvenience.

We are already in the process of contacting each customer individually.

If mass updating devices is not acceptable, you are welcome to follow the standard RMA procedure.

HI,

Does the Fix package exist only for 6.35? Do we have to upgrade/downgrade to 6.35? I think the last batch of these board had higher version of ROS than the 6.35 (but maybe someone in our comapny upgraded them before they landed on my desk)

It will work on 6.35.2 also.
