Hi
I’d like to combine these two elements together in order to offer a dual band access point
Is there any reason why this wouldn’t be technicazlly speaking feasible or recommendable ?
Thanks

I use the R11e cards in RB921UAGS NetMetal 5 devices and it’s been working well. No issues.
thanks GTJ
Actually, one thing to be aware of is input power. Make sure you’re supplying enough to handle both radios.
is 24V enough or is 48V more recommended ?
The max for the RB922 is 30V.
Since the RB922 is listed at 17 watts (about 708 ma at 24v) and the R11e is 7 watts (about 291 ma at 24v), you need a minimum of 1 amp (with nothing to spare).
If you’re using a standalone power supply, make sure it’s at least 1.5A
If you’re doing PoE from another device make sure the device can supply 1A on a single port.
Regardless, if you have a long cable, use Cat 6 (23ga wire) instead of Cat 5 (24ga wire) to reduce the current loss.
thank you very much GTJ
I’m basically doing this myself… Works really well… I actually have three of them powered by a 260GSP…
Thanks Efaden
What type of power supply are you using with the 260GSP ?
The one it came with.
thanks Efaden
