We purchased a pair of these for a p2p link with the understanding they would be 600MB connection rates with about 300MB of through put.
Testing on the bench could only get about 170MB using the configuration already on the radio cards.
How do we get the speeds we read about?

Thanks

The first step is to stop using internal btest.

Do you mean to not use Mikrotik Bandwidth Test?
The test results I gave was Mikrotik Bandwidth test TCP/IP from the SU side of the link to another Mikrotik located in our downtown NOC.

Yes. It is not a good way to test something, because the test runs on the device itself and loads the CPU.

Test using iperf or something else, like this:

Powerful PC → Router1~~~~~~Router2 → Powerful PC2

This will ensure you are testing the link, not the CPU of the CPE device.

also indoor test for outdoor radios are useless…best result in AC mode is ~250mbps in my case. There are more things that can affect a wireless link. You must first install it.

Try a lower channel like 5500-5600Mhz. Noise floor is not acurate. Anything above 5700Mhz won’t work to good, antennas has lower gain.

Tried 5180 5260 5560 5680
None will get ccq above 70%
Speed test same as before
