I purchased a RB951-2n about a week and a half ago, and haven’t had much time to play with it. I started playing with it a bit today, and with the ‘default’ config, which hear as I can tell, should work for a very simple setup where the only need is a DHCP Server and access to the internet, the wireless does not seem to be working.
What I’ve noticed by using a WiFi Analyzer on my Android phone, as well as trying to connect to the AP with my Win8 laptop, is it seems like the wireless is turning on and off. One minute it’ll be there in the WiFi Analyzer, and the next it’s gone. Trying to connect with my PC fails. Right now, it’s running on Ch 1, and there is nothing else there according to the WiFi analyzer. My main APs are on 6 & 11.
Any thoughts? Is it something in the config, or could I have a bad unit?
I’m getting the same problem, the wireless interface is enabled.
To fix the problem I have to reconfig it, disabled and then enabled then it starts to work.
I have made a rif file will mail it to your support team.
Is there any way that I may have missed to enable email alerts when a thread is replied to? This one sat with no answers for enough time that I didn’t think to check it…
Anyway, it would appear I got it working, since it seems to have been stable for a bit now. Apparently, the default config is borked.
Basically, what I have set up for the interfaces is eth1 is the WAN, eth2 is the master port, eth3-5 are slaves to eth2, and I have a bridge set up that eth2 and wlan are a part of. That’s pretty much what it took to get mine working.
Yes, more or less. But there was something different about the default setup that didn’t work, and the way I have it set now has been working after I set it up manually.
