Hi All, I am fairly new to ROS learning daily. I have a few different routers in my network. RB 750 / RB750gr3 / RB 951 lite … Problem… On the RB 951/lite connected via Winbox v6.38 (mipsbe).
I goto Files >> Click Backup, it displays the backup file on the flash tree list. I download the file to PC (Thank goodness I did) . Then reboot the router… backup file missing. Why is this happening ?
On the RB 750 it keeps the bkp file. I have upgraded to latest firmware qca9531L . Is there a settings I am missing ? Perhaps activate flash or save flash or a Do Not clear Flash ? Awaiting response. Thank you in advance.
Because your device is equipped with SPI flash and anything outside of the /flash directory is kept within a RAM disk and is lost upon reboot. More info here: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:System/File
