I have done this twice up to now
I updated to 6.43 and it bricked
Got an RMA and now I installed 6.43.2 and it bricked again
Reset doesnt work (boot loop is too fast for reset to kick in)
Netflash doesnt detect the router.
Is this a known issue?
My RB951G is happily running on 6.43.1. Changelog doesn’t show anything significant new on 6.43.2 compared to 6.43.1, so it’s hard to tell if it’s 6.43.2 that bricks RB951G or is it something else …
I am starting think its a configuration issue with these versions.
How can you unbrick a 951 that doesnt respond to the reset button? (keep rebooting after 15 seconds)
is there anything on the board I can try to tap into?
After trying all the suggestions for the RESET button I gave up.
I had left the router on power and today when I launched netflash it detected the router. (without pressing reset)
Flashed it with latest 6.34.2 and its back.
I will re use this thread on the next update to see if it bricks again
