I’ve just got 300 units and I can’t flash them with our custom firmware. We have been flashing OpenWRT on rb951g for over a year now. 6 months ago we had the same issue and it was due to the boot-loader. I need assistance urgently please from anyone at the MikroTik.
This will be a kernel or driver issue and therefore must be under the GPL as you use Linux. I’m not asking you to disclose source code, all I need to know is a detailed change log for bootloader or hardware or any suggestion to why its not loading.
The actual issue, the new devices have MAC addresses with prefix: 4C:5E:0C:::*. When you load RAM kernel using boot over ethernet the router does not respond to ping or telnet BUT does sometimes respond to ARP. So its running, but its not responding well. The LEDs flash when packets are sent.
From my experience this sounds like misconfigured switch. Please can you help.
