RB951G-2HnD with DLINK DWM-157

i am trying to connect 3g dongle DWM-157 with my mikrotik RB951G-2HnD with version 6.27
when i connect 3g dongle it normally detects it. but after setting dial number username and password it not connect it and keep showing resetting link or waiting for packet in status bar below.. kindly guide me as i am new on mikrotik/routeros..

Guys I am so much frustrated!!!

I have DWM-157 Hardware revision D (latest)

I also have RB951G-2HnD with latest RouterOs (6.32.3) on it…

I can’t get it to work…

I can see the device under System->Resources->USB

However there are no new ports created, and I can’t do anything else.

I have tried different devices, and searched internet over and over there is no single bit of useful info.

Someone help me please!

Is there any driver or software package that I must install onto Mikrotik?

I can’t find anything. There is huge mess of false links and I’ve been trying to figure it out since 2 days and no luck.

This devices must be configured today because it will be used in Africa, where only 3g networks are available and the people are leaving today…

Should work with DWM-157

Try to unplug the modem, power off the board and then plug the modem back.
Start the router and check again.

I have tried it at least 10 times already mate.

USB dongles are not recognized by the firewall. I have 9xRB951Ui-2HnD and have tried it already.

Also I have tried a different TP-LINK 3G dongle, it was the same thing. The USB is recognized and showing under Resources but nothing under the ports.

Sorry for my mistake my devices are not RB951G-2HnD, my devices are RB951Ui-2HnD

Hi, i have the same problem with tihs DWM-157 model (the model DWM-156 works fine and all is done automatically): the modem is detected under system->resources->usb … but, in “ports” there is nothing . It´s necessary to do something else, some at command to activate the modem, how ¿? I tested with different models of RB and the same thing happens.

I’ve just bought the DWM-157 on the basis that the http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Supported_Hardware page says “Works!” under Router OS 6.xx.

However, as per this thread, I get zero ports in the Respources->USB.

Is http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Supported_Hardware incorrect or am I missing something?!
