It is my understanding the rb951G (g series) it only supports up to 50 MB only?

After 50MB the router will shut down. You need to wake it up with rooster.
… and don’t forget to change wall plug everytime otherwise it won’t start as it remembers the last five used wall plugs…
With ~1500 byte packets and utilizing fastpath/fasttrack, you can probably route about 850mbps (~90MBps) single stream tcp.
Anything more than simple routing (IPSec, VPN, etc) will bring it down quite a bit.
