RB951g restart again every 5 s

hi..

I’ve bought RB951g and work with me about a month without any problems ..
Then I got a problem that he became reboots every 5 seconds and does not work and do not settle
And now I want to enter on its winbox but no use .. What is the solution?

Try netinstall for recover the routerboard.

You can select that the current configuration must be saved.
With netinstall everything set to default settings.

my RB951G is doing the same thing (reboots every 5 sec). Does NetInstall work if router is rebooting all the time???

You can try netinstall maby if starts netbooting the routerboard not reboot every 5 seconds.

Also, if possible, could you try a different power adapter? It might be that your power adapter has partially broken and is unable to deliver the needed power continuously.

Hi,

Thank you for replying. Eventually I did managed to put it in the netboot and do NetInstall but there were some other problems with the routerboard (reasons why i needed NetInstall in a first place) so I sent it back for a replacement.

In many cases a Routerboard rebooting over and over can be caused by a loop - either external (cabled loop) or internal (like f.eks. VLAn’s bridged wrong together causing a traffic loop).
