RB951Ui-2HnD Full Power?

I am replacing a very old Linksys WRT54G v6 router with the RB951Ui-2HnD in hopes to achieve a faster network (I understand its 10/100), but more importantly, better wireless range. I chose this model because of the 1W claim for the AP. The range is the exact same as the WRT54G. I have it set pretty stock with united states as my country. Is this limiting me?

What settings should I set to achieve the most range with this model?

What client do you use? Wifi is bidirectional, so increasing the output on only one side won’t cut it.

The only viable option is to buy more APs and hardwire them via Ethernet. Your clients will roam between them based on signal strength.

Check Tx power tab in wireless settings. It will show the real power used for emitting. Also manual-txpower must be selected.
