RB951Ui-2HnD+usb LTE - high ping/www timeouts while downloading files

Hi there.
I’m using RB951Ui-2HnD @ home with Huawei e3372s-153 LTE USB in hilink mode. My average speed is 40Mbit(Download) / 10Mbit(Upload).
Internet works quite well BUT when I download larger files with high speed ping goes like over 3000ms and basic WWW browsing is almost impossible (plenty of timeouts or looong page loading).
I also noticed that when downloading files for a longer period of time (like: lets say 10-30mins) my internet connection goes down (I’m using USB poweroff/poweron script to restart usb when 8.8.8.8 ping goes down for more than 5-10s.).

I’m mostly using internet on my own (just a single laptop wifi connected).

Now, I wonder what might be the issue. Also sometimes I get dc’d when watching yt videos on laptop + smartphone etc. Are there any easy QoS setup for LTE usb leaving some ‘room’ for www etc while in high DL bandwidth usage? Also what might explain internet losses on high load?

You’re filling your pipe and buffer at ISP by downlaod, and ping and other traffic can’t get through in timely fashion.

You need to implement QoS. This can be done either by Simple Queues or by Queue Tree, depending on your exact needs.
