we are struck just because of ROS. so please do some thing better.

You can always use this with ROS

But the RB953 already has a pretty new Atheros Scorpion CPU. And it has two miniPCI-e slots (so, total of three wireless interfaces). Do you need more?

hi.
yes its not , one pci-e goes with 4G and 2nd with 5ghz triple chain AC and what about 2.4ghz for connecting old smart home hub and other 2.4ghz devices ? or just upgrade built-in 5ghz with triple chain AC.anyway i am waiting from 2years to see new version of the board and its pretty old now time to do some thing better.

hi
InoX are this board is fully compatible with ROS? and i can put 3 Pci-e wifi cards ?

Inox i think its waste of money on that board, because Intel i210AT / i211AT gigabit Ethernet cards on the board are not supported in ROS.

hi
normis is there any chance of upgrading this board or not. or launch of a board with some mini pcie slots and a bit good processor ?

I actually have one of the turris omnia devices pictured above, a Mikrotik equivalent would have been a cross between an RB3011 and a hAP ac (for the wifi).

You didn’t answer my questions. The device ALREADY has 2x miniPCI-e slots. Why are you asking for them?

as i said normis this board have just 2 slots. one for 4G mobile internet, second for triple chain 5ghz AC. then where i put 2.4ghz for smart home hub and old hardware wifi? or just upgrade built in 5ghz a/n to 5ghz ac so we use 2 pcie for 4G and 2.4 ghz.

No, that is not true. The 3 chain wireless is built in. There are two unused (empty) slots for wifi cards provided. So in total you can have up to THREE wireless interfaces. 4G you can add to the USB port.

built-in 5ghz is 3chain a/n not 3chain AC for 1300mbs. 5ghz a/n huh old now. any possibility of upgrading built-in 5ghz AC? so may i wait ?

We don’t announce new products in the forum, so I can’t say if or when.

All I can say is, you can use 1 miniPCIe for 802.11ac card, use 2 miniPCIe card for 2GHz, and use the USB port for 4G.

For what it’s worth, I was looking at this device too but the lack of 802.11ac on the built in 3x3 5 GHz makes it pretty worthless. 802.11ac routers have been available since early 2012, it’s pretty disappointing that there is hardware shipping in late 2016 that still doesn’t support it.
