RBD53iG WiFi and VLAN

Hi there,

currently I have an “RB941-2nD” configure to have 3 VLAN on ethernet1 and 3 WiFi network.
VLAN have these ID: 4, 10, 20.

I bought an “RBD53iG” to have 5 GHz WiFi, and I trying to copy maually the configuration.

I configured the WLAN section, then I added the three VLAN to ether1 and in the end I added the interfaces to the corresponding bridge.

I cannot change the “role” from each interface on the bridge.
On my previous route I had some port marked as “Designated Port” and one “Root” port. I don’t remember how to change the role.

Another question is, this configuration is the best for this router or can I do somethin better?

Yes exactly.
I need to connect the router to an existing infrastructure.

I’m want to understand the best way to handle VLAN:

  • Via a Bridge


  • Via the switch to get better performances

Waht do you suggest?
