Does anyone know if there is anywhere that lists what different LED indicators on Mikrotik POEs stand for? Example, flashing LED, Red LED, or anything else. Obviously they are never good and indicate a problem, but it would be nice if I knew what different statuses they could show, and what each one is.
Not 100% sure, but on RBGPOE I think it only signals that is receiving DC power when on, shutting off the LED otherwise, never saw any blink, let alone change color (doesn’t look like a RGB LED either)
Just verified with my tech that reported a blue light, miscommunication. It was on the actual routerboard that there was a blue light. The POE itself though will blink sometimes, and I’m not positive if this is purely a power light, or if blinking can actually indicate something.
Just a simple LED that shows power receiving, no matter of connected device and it’s status.
If it’s blinking this can point in fact to either defective RBGPOE, or power supply, jack…
Naturally, I just wanted to check as I know some other POEs actually can show multiple status for diagnostics. I will let my technicians know that the light is just a simple LED, and blinking is not indicative of anything other than the fact that the circuit is broken somewhere.
