RBLHGR - R11e-LTE6_V026 - Packet loss

Hi,
If anyone has upgraded their LTE devices to version R11e-LTE6_V026 from V20, please let me know if you experiencing problems.

I upgraded 2 x RBLHGR devices last night, both at same location but using different LTE service providers. These devices has been installed and configured about 3 months ago and was working good, use to get ± 30Mb/s up / down.

I am getting excessive packet loss on both to example 8.8.8.8, see screenshot below. I don’t know if this is just currently caused by the service providers, but with 2 service providers it seems unlikely. These devices also face different directions, so not sharing a tower, etc.

Also, if anyone can point me in the direction to revert back to V20 and where V20 can be downloaded from

You can only ask support@mikrotik.com or https://mikrotik.com/support .
As user I can confirm that connectivity works .

Some users have problem with

  • massive disconnection
  • no work sim cards
  • send sms not work and disconnect lte1
  • DL+DL not sum speeds
  • traceroute show only end target host and we not se any host between lte1 and target

Those are what I know, 50% of them are in Support right now and I help then with this cases.

Wait, do you really check the “packet loss” using only 1 ping result ??

I hope you know the LAST HOP in traceroute is proper for packet loss, all prev can drop 100% of icmp and your traffic to end-point can be 100% proper.
If you want show some problem then please give us better feedback, from 25 or 50 pings example.

Example of my fav app to that job, 60sec of testing
My ISP HIDE ALL hops between me and end-point, or maybe fw 026 do that :slight_smile:

Your signals in LTE are avr-weak, low CQI not give you a good speed.

No, I did a normal “ping” to 8.8.8.8, had lots of timeouts, just had this screenshot available to post at the time.

Please correct me if I am wrong, then I should see 100% timeouts for each hop, not 75% per hop as in the case of my screenshot?

Important it’s only last one result.
Example for doing traceroute to btest.mt.lv give you:

You can see that Oracle Cloud have not package loose.
Telekom who connect Frankfurt and Riga have no loss.
Some last ISP host give 100% loose.
Last one internet host works properly with 0% loss.
