So according to the wiki, RouterOS supports LTE Telit LM960 which in theory can do 1.2gbps.
Now let’s say we have ideal conditions, 4*CA, early in the morning so the cell tower is not overloaded, what speeds can I expect from RBM33G + LM960 ?
MiniPCI-e will max out at usb2 speed, if I understand correctly, but even so it won’t probably be even near the usb2 480mbps limit ? What about plugging into usb3?
Most flash drives max out at ~240 Mbps of throughput under ideal conditions. So I’d think the mPCIe slots would approach that. I also assume that’s shared between both mPCIe slots, not each. If you used a USB sled, and used the USB 3.0 port, I think that’s attached to a different bus. You’ll probably be CPU/driver limited. I don’t think anyone knows the throughput yet. You could try benchmarking it with a flash drive to get a ball park, but I’m not sure how well the metrics are reported in RouterOS to be able to do that. Plus the overhead is probably different between disk access and a wireless driver.
mPCIe / m.2 are only a socket who is connected to some BUS of speed and many answers from MikroTik say about a USB BUS as limit factor.
USB EndPoint Limit cannot give you install two “profesional” cards, USB 3.0 port is used OR mPCIe slot…
If your high LTE Category modems will work both, and your ISP not limit you a speed then maybe you can receive max ~800Mbps with decent scenario.
In Poland every ISP at every BTS/Tower limit user speed and you have differ speed at night/day profile.
Block Diagram not show us for RBM11G info what limitation have a mPCIe slot at this unit. Maybe like USB3.0 or USB2.0 - you have it and can check this !.
I not have M11G or M33G and I base at forum answers and documentation.
I have only rbm11g not yet have the modem, I was asking if you could understand from the data sheets or with some specific test
these are some information i found, and since the mPCIe is type 1.1 the bandwidth should be about 250 MBps, do you have any confirmation?
Problems general exist with router who have USB2.0 slot and modem works default as USB3.0
then you can do:
by AT command set USB2.0 by disable USB3.0 feature
by isolate USB3.0 pins
by use USB2.0 port/slot/adapter
and then as USB2.0 you have connection to the module.
For Example some vendor devices works without isolate pins but e.g. Telit must have isolated pins at pcb to start work properly because software usb3.0 disable additional com for communication and Telit module must have enabled USB3.0 and by isolate USB2.0 he works with router in back-compatibility 2.0 mode.

i use this post because i’m having something similar happening.
I’m using a Hap ax3 connected to an adapter waveshare m.2/eth with 12v power (5g needs) by usb3 cabling, and inside the adapter a quectel 5g modem with 4 antenna.
modem is configured to use usb data interface (it can switch data to 2.5gb eth on adapter board) with mbim, and it works, but on routeros->usb resources shows adapter is using usb2 link.
If i plug same cabling/adapter/power in a windows pc, it works with usb3.1 speed, so i suppose the HapAX3 needs something more.
What can i do for usb3 speed on Ax3?

Update, cable arrived, but it was a setting problem.
now i see the adapter at 5gbps usb3 on routeros 7.15, and quectel rm520nglAA (stay far from AP version) works good.
