I was searching for a mib in the tree while connected to a remote dude server. I hit ctrl + f entered the string and Dude went to 100% cpu for several minutes. Screen would not refresh. Dude service is running on Win2k Server SP4. Client XP Pro SP2. After 7 minutes I closed the search window. Windows gave me a Dude is not responding.
This problem also occurs in Dude 3RC3
It seems to happen when I search for something that doesn’t exist.
To avoid the problem, I wait for the MIB to completely load (may take a while); and then search for something that I know will be there.
this trouble is actual for searching in devices and maps too
