rc9-10 only permits google services

Hello,
Since sunday, my testing rb532 router is doing weird things.
I was running rc9 with some L7 mangle rules and some queues getting WAN connection from a PPPoE DSL line and doing NAT. Traffic on the network for its last 3 days was emule+bittorrent traffic, and some RDP, web and messanging. It acts also as DNS Server/Cache, and AP, and has Hotspot+UM running (no clients registered, just for testing).

Suddenly since Sunday, I’m only able to reach Google services (google search, gmail, blogspot, gtalk, toolbar,…). The speed didn’t drop on this services. And some emule+bittorrent traffic

For the rest of the internet, no traffic was routed. Pings and traceroutes worked well. But no real traffic. Checking DNS cache, I saw that only a few domains where resolved (all google, and some others their IP starts with 6x…) Maybe it was a rOS DNS server fault.

I updated to RC10 but I get the same behaviour. So now, I have it isolated and getting internet connection directly from PPPoE, not through RB532.

I’ve rebooted the router, reinstalled rc9 (over rc9), upgraded to rc10 and disabled Mangling rules and Queues, flushed DNS cache hundreds of times and I deleted all Static DNS rules. Also, of course, i stopped all p2p traffic. And it still allows only google services.

I don’t install ipv6, calea, dude, stplegacy, ups nor gps packages.

I don’t understand anything. I tried 3 different computers (Windows XP each), and a ubuntu one, with same result: only google services.

your problem is too strange to be RouterOS related. how about ISP, did you ask them?

oh!
I forgot to say: when connecting any of the computers ‘directly’ to isp bridge and stablishing pppoe connection on the computer, everything is correct.
so it doesn’t seem to be an isp issue.
when routerboard is removed everything works correctly.

check your mtu and mru setting for your pppoe connection. try a lower value like 1452

I had default values (MTU = MRU = 1480) that were working till sunday.

I’ve tried 1452 as suggested but didn’t affect behaviour. I still only access Google services.

I’ve an an autosupout file from sunday night. I can’t remember what I was doing in that moment to “crash” routerOS. Maybe it has some useful information.

I’ve done a reset-configuration and set up a really basic configuration (PPPoE client, NAT, and LAN IP address) and everything is working.
Now I have to readd all filters, mangle, queues and dns server/cache.

I’m really surprised with this error.
