RDP Problem

Hello,

I have my first mikrotik router with RouterOS v6.43.2, which replaced my pfsense router.

I have a few connections to windows machines via the remote desktop. Not to my LAN, I am connecting to remote machines in the internet. So this is no problem with port forwarding etc.
But I have problems that I can’t connect to these machines most of time. After restarting the router the connection may work the first time, after a short time it will drop off.

The router is behind a modem from my ISP, but also the pfsense was behind this modem. If I connect directly to the modem the RDP is working without problems, only behind the router I have this problems. I searched the web for similar problems, but I only found articles where people had problems with communication to the router (incoming traffic with port forwarding etc.). I have the problem with the outgoing connection, which should not be affected by the router?

Hopefully someone can help me with this issue. Because I am new to mikrotik please let me know if you need additional information of the router config, but I didn’t change the out of the box configuration so far.

Hi,

At first i suggest that reset configuration with no default check and configure your router again or if you clear your mikrotik router “connection tracking” what will happens?

Hi,

thanks for your reply. In the meantime I figured out that it is not a microtik problem.
