I saw the announcement for the new RDS2216. It looks very interesting at first, I’m still trying to The most prominently mentioned use case is to run MinIO on it.
The officially recommended setup for MinIO is multi-node, multi-drive, and MinIO strongly recommends that it gets direct access to disks for that purpose (rather than getting access to a RAID volume).
So, I’m wondering if this recommended best practice is achievable with RDS2216, specifically if it’s possible to give a Linux container direct access to the single disks.
Maybe more generally, I’m wondering if the device is sufficiently powerful to create a storage cluster. I think the CPU should be able to handle it but 32GB RAM seems to be on the lower end of things.
