RE: Configure 2 mikrotik routers to run the same hotspot?

Hello,

I have the following network setup; please look at the picture.
In my scenario I am having 2 hotspots, so for each hotspot I have to add separate users.
Is it possible to have just 1 hotspot for both routers?
so that for example:
If a user is created on the first hotspot, he can also log in to the second hotspot.

Thank you for help

You can run the same setup you have now. User Manager is probably what you need. That will allow you to use the same user database on both (or many) hotspots.

Ok. So the only option is to use User Manager?
Is there also the option to have the same hotspot running on both Routers?
I have some users that i assign directly in winbox, so I would like that this users also are able to connect to the second hotspot.

(Ok. I understand that users that are assigned in User Manager are fine, but i would like to be able to assign the users also directly in Winbox)

Thank you

Hotspots should be the layer 3 hop for the users, so no, you shouldn’t run one Hotspot in front of both routers.

Sorry i didnt understand your reply.

what is the layer 3 hop?

How you mean run one Hotspot in fron of both routers?

What i was asking if i can have the same hotspot on both routers, instead that i have to have two separate hotspots on each router.
