Re-match: XR5 vs F50-Pro

All:

I am a long time user of the XR5 cards from Ubiquiti. I have recently come across the F50-Pro from DBii.

My Google-ing of the topic shows forum posts of people saying “just ask Ubiquiti or DBii which is best.” Amusing.

I am interested in the DBii F50-Pro card because the cost is about 57% less for the F50-Pro. They are both based on the Atheros AR5414 chipset. If the performance is comparable, then I may have a new tool.

Thoughts?

XR5 does have a higher powered at 28dBm.

i have deployed more than 300 unit’s F50-Pro, all of it work great and faulty ratio is zero.

when something wrong on the wireless bridge (routerboard + F50-pro), for sure, the problem is come from the routerboard based on fact finding.

you should try it with no regret.
