I have a simple question today - I’m planning to order bunch of hEX-es to connect few points using EoIP. Since performance is not an primary goal here I think they can do that job more than well enough.
Could anyone who have spare one test real throughput (@normis? 
) of these devices in terms of EoIP with and without IPSEC?

I would not expect more than 24Mbps with ipsec enabled.
Actually 15-20Mb/s is more than enough for me

i have tested ipsec with this results, using very basic configuration with quickset

i think hEX will exceed this numbers by some margin
Did you used external source or built-in tester?
external source.
the test was very simple, one end a ccr1009 the other end the router under test.
1 pc at lan of each router
the test was a copy of a big file between the 2 pc across the tunnel
the router under test get 100% cpu usage and cpu profile shows crypto high cpu usage.
i think this test shows best case scenario, because big packets used by smb protocol
