Hello,
i am designing a network of 6-10 VLANS (with filtered access in between VLANs) and 4-6 access points in my home, around 100 devices alltogether. Few VPN connections willcome on top.
If I understand CAPsMan correctly, fully centralized management (and advanatges) is achieved using forwarding mode which puts load on the router that runs CAPsMAN. In this scenario, however, switches cannot take much/any load as traffic within VLANS cannot be handled on switch level as forwarding mode runs on layer 3.
This makes me think that e.g. a CCR1016 (maxing out router capacity in my budget) would be beneficial over a combination of e.g. RB3011 + CSS326-24G-2S+RM where quite some budge would be spent into a switch that is not very useful in my setup.
Is my line of thinking correct ?
Lars
