Recommendation for Router Manager

Hello people. I need your help. I want to build a PPPoE node for 300 customers and 2 relay nodes (each with 150) PPPoE clients.

I always use a RB to balance and x86 to manage. But it has limitations of network cards.

This time I want to use a RB1100AHx2 or Cloud … the only thing that does not convince me is version 6 because I never used it and because I have understood that still has many bugs even in version 6.2.

I do not recognize the limitations of a RB11AHx2. How many PPPoE clients could connect?

RB1100Hx2 is enough for 1000 pppoe clients with radius auth.

Rb2011 also works very good, i have a few ones, desktop, rack mount version… its handles 1600 dhcp clients, 300 hotspot users and a few firewall rules. CPU at 30%

A good one in rb951g-2hnd, you can disable wireless package and use it only has router/pppoe server/ wifi hotspot with load blance.

You dont need to buy the 1100AHX2, the 1100HX2 is less expensive, but dont have hardware encryption(used to ipsec vpn only)

I understand but my dealer only has the RB1100AHX2 … I thought that RB1100HX2 was discontinued

Yes, we only have the RB1100AHx2 from this series available now.

v6.2 has no major issues, only minor things that affect less than 1% of users, and many of these will be addressed in v6.3 coming soon. RB1100AHx2 is a very powerful machine, and good enough for your setup.
