I’m planning to get a RBwAPR-2nD which includes mtik’s own R11e-US modem but I’ve read some pretty terrible performance comments about it. So… if not mtik’s own R11e-US what mPCI-e modem have people used with stable results? Anything more than 10Mps capable would be an improvement over what I’m trying to replace.

The issue is not so much the modem but the antenna’s.
Although since the modem is limited to 150 / 50 mb down / up max theoretical bandwidth, higher CAT radio’s can get better throughput with same similar quality of signal.
Thanks, I’ll look next into some external antennae. I received my RBwAPR-2nD yesterday and was able to get connected straight away. I’m currently getting 8/8 which isn’t what I hoped for but is a fair improvement over what I had at this remote site before.
Any specific recommendations on an external antenna setup that has yielded good results?

if you’re are “remote” why don’t you have a look at LHG LTE, or high gain external antennae.
I myself use SXT LTE and throughput wise happy with it, but I’m not in “remote” area.
