We use a RB1200 at a colocated datacenter for hosting. Customers use our service via website/RDP etc.
Our datacenter provides us 2 drops for our WAN connection and run Cisco HSRP. Currently we simply input the 2 drops in the built-in mikrotik switch and bridge it to a port and configure the WAN IP address on that port. Works very well but we want to have 2 Mikrotik’s in high availability mode. We did configure VRRP but it does not help with incoming requests. It would randomly pick up one of the 2 routers and not carry on any sensible connection.
Any ideas on how to achieve HA with mikrotik for incoming connections?
