I have 2 Mikrotik 1100 AHx2 which I plan to use vrrp for redundancy (2 hsrp feeds coming in)
I also have 2 x CRS’s and 2 HP’s
All servers are dual homed and the idea is to create a fully redundant network, each server nic connects to each switch and will be using a bonded interface on the server side to provide failover
I require several vlans and 2 of the switches will be dedicated for a storage network (no intervlan routing required for this)
The other pair of switches (I haven’t decided which yet) will need intervlan routing
So the idea is to have this pair of switches going to each router and each connection to the router being a trunk port to carry vlan traffic. The 1100’s will provide the vlan routing. I therefore want (for eg) ports 9 and 10 to be trunk ports but I’m struggling to figure out how to create multiple trunk ports carrying the same vlans
I’ve previously just used bridges with my vlans and can’t see a way of doing this as you can only assign a vlan to one interface also I’d prefer to use the switch chip features and would like to know how I’m going to achieve this.
