If anyone have experience with transmitting VLAN packets on WDS link, please help me.
I want to make the following setup:
(wds)
RB600 - Internet access
(wds)
|
(wds)
RB333_A- bridge-access1:192.168.1.x/24
(wds)
|
(wds)
RB333_B- bridge-access1:192.168.1.x/24
(wds)
|
(wds)
RB333_C- bridge-access2:192.168.2.x/24
(wds)
loops back to RB600
Describing the above: all the routerboards have Point-to-Point links between each other.
All the boards connecting on a mgmt VLAN (lets say 1000). RB333_A and _B have a bridged access network on 192.168.1.x
(so the users are on same segment) and RB333_C have another segment.
The would offer me the following advantages: on the main site (RB600) i can connect to any access VLANs, and the
network will be redundant with fast failover using rapid-spanningtree
Q: on a testbench i’ve made the above, but not working perfect. (i’m running ap-bridge/station-wds setup)
for example, if i’m having not 4 but 8 boards in the mgmt vlan, some boards can see all MACs in bridge table, other not.
Some boards can ping others, but some not. what is the strangest: a board in the middle see nothing, but passing traffic successfully!
