Hi,
I’m looking for a solution to NAT minimum 10 gbit and over time, up to 40 gbit traffic (at this point evenly distributed over 4 * 10 gbit uplinks) in a redundant active/passive manner.
I have been looking into using two CCR1072-1G-8S+ with VRRP and a masquarade firewall rule. The router will not handle any internal routing, only NAT.
My questions are therefore:
1: Do anyone have experience with NATing this amount of traffic using a cloud core router (10 or 40 gbit)
2: How did the router perform (cpu load and throughput wise)
3: How much impact should be expected, if a QOS script like the one published by Greg Sowell were to be implemented on the routers?
I would very much like to see some actual data so I can be sure using two CCR1072-1G-8S+ is the right way to go.
Thank you
