Redundant Internet Connection Problems

Hi Everyone!

I’m starting to work with mikrotik RBs. I have a RB2011 UIAS-RM and i have receive internet connection from 2 different ISPs.
At provider 1, a use PPOE connection and in provider 2 the ISP give me a fixed IP with /30 mask.

My problem is: I can use provider 1 (PPOE) in any ethernet ports, but i can use provider 2 only in eth1. When i connect provider 2 (fixed IP) in another port, i can’t ping external IPs through this interface.

I created 2 mascarades (for each one provider) and assign to respective interface.

When i try configure connection through “Quick Set”, i checked that port field shows only “Eth1” and “SPF” options.

Any ideas?

If you’re trying to do Dual WAN then I wouldn’t touch QuickSet. That’s way outside the scope what that page can handle. You’ll need to dig into WebFig/Winbox.

Reset to defaults. Then start again from winbox. A config manuplated in quickset is bound to be problematic.
