Refuse client connection below -xxdB signal

Hi community,

reading a post that mention the possibility for RouterOS 3.0 to refuse connections from clients with low signal strenght, that make troubles to all other clients, i setup the routerOS 3.0 beta4 to an RB 532.
I find on the “connect list” rule (on 3.0) the possibility to accept connections from -xx to -xx … but also in 2.9.38 i find the same rule… not “from-to” but only “from -xx”.
In both cases for my scenario don’t work.

I’m missing something ?? I’m using a PPPoE server on the Access Point RB, with a IP-Pool and external radius auth. The card that perform client access is a R52, mode is AP-bridge.

Thanks in advance,

Connect-list is used for station routers to select AP.
Access-list has to be used to manage clients connected to AP, you need to specify allowed signal range there.

Yep  ROS newbie rules

How about installing RouterOS 3.0 beta 4 on a live RB that handle 8 MB/s throughput and approx. 30 clients over 4 radio cards ? I can try or tonight i do change the routerboard because is freezed/locked ?

Perhaps may be the definitive solution for many troubles IMHO…
Anyone experienced the major version upgrade ??
